Dementia Connection Australia: A Journey Of Compassion and Support

My name is Petra Kreuzer, and my journey with dementia began as the sole caregiver for my parents, spanning over two decades. In 2019 privately, on the first anniversary of their passing, I founded Dementia Connection Australia—a public Facebook community born from this deeply personal experience.

This group stands as a beacon of hope, offering understanding and support to those touched by dementia. Here, members find essential information and a platform to share their stories. My vision is to empower individuals to seek early diagnoses and to cultivate a society that wholeheartedly supports those living with dementia.

Recognising the fear and isolation that accompany dementia, we are dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive space. Every member of our group contributes to a movement that champions education, compassion, and proactive action.

Dementia Connection Australia extends an invitation to learn, engage, and make a meaningful difference. Whether directly affected by dementia or simply a community member, your involvement can transform lives. After all, people living with dementia are part of our community—they are our neighbours, friends, and family.

Please join us in this vital mission. Together, we can ensure that no one faces dementia alone.

Request to join our community and be a beacon of change.
