The focus of the UBC Coaching Program is to upskill your key staff, so that they have an in-depth understanding of why people living with dementia experience behaviour changes. Your staff will develop their skills in understanding key factors that may result in behaviour changes and develop person centred strategies to prevent this happening or reduce the negative impact of this if it does occur.

Using Dementia Australia’s CAUSEd model, we will coach your staff to develop their skills in identifying possible triggers for these behaviour changes, and become Behaviour Change Champions. This will enable staff to more confidently implement proactive strategies that are tailored to each individual, to prevent and/or respond to these changes, so that their clients can live meaningfully engaged lives. This can lead to a positive change in organisational culture and an increase in both staff and client satisfaction/wellbeing.
