Our Vision:   To encourage all community members and organisations to join us in making the City of Logan and its surrounding regions an inclusive dementia-friendly community by raising dementia awareness through information and training.

Our Purpose: To enable individuals living with dementia to lead active and fulfilling lives with dignity and respect by building communities in which people living with dementia are understood, accepted & included.

Our Focus:  To empower individuals living with dementia, their family members and caregivers to navigate support services and advocate for their full potential to be understood without stigma, bias or discrimination.

The working party, membership base and volunteers consist of people living with dementia, family members and caregivers, representatives of local businesses, government representatives, private and not-for-profit organisations, community service providers, Logan Hospital and community members – all of whom work together to make their home environment, workplace and wider community dementia-friendly through education and training. The LDA provides pathways to information and industry resources, promoting dementia-friendly environmental design, and encouraging social and community interaction through the Arts, including music and singing via the Logan Dementia Choir initiative.
