People living with dementia, and their carers, know that catching up regularly and sharing our stories is one of the best ways to support each other.
Co-convener of Western Journeys, Janet Thomas, who also lives with dementia says, ‘A dementia-friendly community is about the people living with dementia, and the people who support them. We want to share how we can live with dignity, feel valued and retain our sense of purpose.’
