Dementia Friends Hosts are Dementia Friends who host group awareness sessions about dementia and Dementia-Friendly Communities.
If you’re part of a club, social group, retirement village or business, Dementia Australia can help you explain the benefits of becoming a Dementia Friend and encourage people to join the movement.
You don’t need to be an expert in dementia or in public speaking. All you need is a meeting place, an audience and a laptop or smart TV. We’ll provide you with our Dementia Friends videos and badges, and information about Dementia Australia programs and services to make hosting a session easy.
