Caring in the Later Stages
This program offers information and support for family members and carers who are preparing for or supporting someone in the later stages of dementia. It includes topics such as the progression of dementia, health care in the later stages, strategies for adjusting to change, tips for carer wellbeing and finding support, and provides an opportunity to connect with others in a similar situation.
If you register, Dementia Australia will contact you to ensure that the program meets your needs.
Suitable for: Family members and family carers caring for someone living with dementia in the later stages. It is recommended that participants have a good understanding of dementia and their caring role, and have attended other Dementia Australia education in the past. This program is not suitable for professionals employed in the health or aged care sectors.
