Living With Younger Onset Dementia Program
This program provides education and support for people recently diagnosed with younger onset dementia. It includes information about the impact of younger onset dementia, coping with change, relationships and communication, planning for the future, strategies and support services.
If you register, you'll be contacted by Dementia Australia to ensure that the program meets your needs and that you're eligible.
Suitable for: People in the early to mid stages of younger onset dementia, their family carers and family members (carers cannot attend alone). You will need to attend multiple sessions or a block of time, and should be willing to participate in a workshop and therapeutic environment. This program is not suitable for professionals employed in the health or aged care sectors, people without a diagnosis or people living with dementia who do not acknowledge their diagnosis.
