In the second round of online consultations to further develop the National Dementia Action Plan, 40 Dementia Advocates responded to key elements including the proposed vision, objectives and actions.
Advocates also informed Dementia Australia’s submission on the plan, receiving feedback from more than 20 advocates, with consistent themes of improving dementia education, dementia-friendly spaces and more.
The feedback was valuable in shaping the Dementia Australia’s submission. The Advocates’ feedback on the draft will inform the final National Dementia Action Plan, due later this year.
This will ensure the voices of people with lived experience of dementia shape Australia’s priorities for action on dementia over the next 10 years.
