A Namaste Care Activity Book is the April Library Pick of the Month

Communicating with and engaging the senses of a person living with dementia is important at every stage of the disease, even in the later stages and regardless of whether the person lives at home or in an aged care home.
To support our readers to learn more about this topic, the Dementia Australia librarians have chosen A Namaste Care Activity Book: Sensory Stories and Activities for People Living with Advanced Dementia as their April Pick of the Month.
Written by psychotherapist and mindfulness teacher Nicola Kendall,
Namaste Care offers compassionate care to people with advanced dementia through sensory input, comfort and pleasure, combining music, therapeutic touch, colour, food and scents. With ready-to-use structured sensory stories that are specially designed for people with advanced dementia, this book invites you to enhance your care through storytelling and sensory stimuli.
