Newcastle Advocates Get Together

Thursday, 22 June 2023Advocacy in Action
Newcastle Dementia Advocates get together.

Following a Seniors Expo at Kalibah near Newcastle NSW, several Dementia Advocates met for a get together and lunch with Consumer Engagement Coordinator Lance Dale and Community Development Officer Anthony Parker.

It was a great opportunity for new Advocates to meet and discuss advocacy initiatives with some of the more experienced Advocates who had been part of the program for several years.

The get together was also an opportunity for Advocates to hear from Anthony Parker about the dementia-friendly communities program and the potential of a new dementia alliance in the Lake Macquarie/Newcastle region.
