Dementia Advocate Bill Yeates was interviewed about his experience of younger onset dementia. It was part of a story on Garvan Institute’s call for participants in a drug trial of Metformin, a drug commonly prescribed for diabetes to see whether it helps to prevent dementia. The story aired on Nine News Sydney television and was syndicated across the country. It also featured on Seven News Sydney television, which was also syndicated across the country.

Community Care Review published a piece on helping people living with dementia prepare for natural disasters and included comments from Dementia Advocate Val Schache.

Seven News also spoke with Dementia Advocate Phil Hazell who discussed early signs of dementia and his assistance dog, Sara.

Dementia Advocate Natalie Ive was interviewed in a story published in That’s Life about her diagnosis of younger onset dementia.

Dementia Advocate Anne Tudor OAM was interviewed by Ballarat Times about Dementia Action Week and the Bigger Hearts Dementia Alliance.

SBS World News reported on the findings of a trial for the lecanemab Alzheimer’s drug and interviewed Dementia Advocate Nell Hawe. Nine News spoke to Dementia Advocate Catherine Cunningham on the same topic.

The Mt Barker Courier interviewed Dementia Advocate Vern Marshall about his experience caring for his wife in their story about Dementia Action Week.

A letter to the editor co-signed by Dementia Advocate and Chair of the Dementia Australia Advisory Council Bobby Redman with Dementia Australia CEO Maree McCabe calling for community awareness during Dementia Action Week was published in over 60 local newspapers across the country.
