Self-leadership
Leading Quality Dementia Care explores the benefits of self-leadership and may be a pathway to other leadership programs. Participants can also be involved in a Community of Practice.
Course structure
Participants engage in a combination of virtual classrooms and online learning to complete the four learning modules in this training program.
Week 1
Developing self-leadership: you will join a 2-hour virtual classroom session this week, where you will meet with the Facilitator and other participants
Communicating with empathy: you will complete the first e-learning module, which will take about 30 minutes to complete.
Week 2
Developing self-leadership and communicating with empathy: you will complete the second e-learning module, which will take about 30 minutes to complete.
Week 3
Building trust: you will join a 2-hour virtual classroom session this week, where you will meet with the Facilitator and other participants.
Stress management: you will complete the third e-learning module, which will take about 30 minutes to complete.
Week 4
Building trust and stress management: you will complete the fourth e-learning module, which will take about 30 minutes to complete.
Week 5
Self-reflection: you will join the final 1-hour virtual classroom session this week, providing you the opportunity to reflect and draw conclusions from the program.
Leading Quality Dementia Care is not accredited and does not form part of a nationally recognised training program.
