An Investigation into the Communication Barriers Faced by Older Adults with Both Sensory and Cognitive Impairment

Federation University Australia

This research is investigating the communication barriers faced by older adults with both sensory (vision and/or hearing) impairment as well as cognitive impairment and how these barriers impact quality of life. This research is important because understanding the communication barriers faced by this population will in turn help guide necessary policy and intervention services that will help improve the quality of life of this vulnerable population.

This study has been approved by the Federation University Human Research Ethics Committee (2024/079)
